VPLP 78' - The need for speed VPLP, in their perpetual search for speed at sea French naval architects Van Peteghem Lauriot Prévost have created the VPLP 78’, a muscular catamaran that will deliver a dynamic sailing experience at the helm, while cosseting her owners in an ambiance of style and comfort. The layout is designed to capture the moments of a journey in niches of intimacy while revealing vast, panoramic views. The transparency between the interior and exterior transport the spirit beyond the horizon, weaving a distinct harmony between past, present and future as the voyager glances from the wake the catamaran has traced, to share the ambiance on board and then forward, into the distance to where the breeze propels them. The architects have cleverly distributed all the weight and force of the mast into the roof, so there is no mast bulkhead or pillar in the middle of the salon and nothing obstructs the view and flow from stem to stern which accentuates the sensation of fluidity.

The mood of conviviality is accentuated by placing the galley up, at the heart of the yacht around which four separate lounge and dining areas are arranged, both in the open air or inside the saloon. The nav station is situated forward with excellent visibility and plenty of bureau space with all instruments connected back to the sporty, raised, twin - helm station in the cockpit. Within the hulls, two double en-suite cabins and two twin guest cabins all enjoy private en-suite facilities. The guests are attended to by two crew in their own twin cabin. With the aim of delivering excellent performance, VPLP have designed theVPLP 78 with a long water line, light bows purposely intended to remain empty for buoyancy and the engine rooms positioned a-stern. The mast is stepped back on the structure which is directly inspired by VPLP’s high performance, record winning, racing trimarans and makes for a very powerful sail plan. All sailing manoeuvres have been moved aft of the living area for safety and ease of crew traffic. Control lines are fed below deck, back to the electric winches so that the deck surfaces remain clean and uncluttered by stray lines. VPLP 78 is designed to be built in composite with a fully carbon rig.

During the Show this year, you will find Cheryl and I aboard the New Gemini Legacy 35 located at the Marlow Hunter display. There will be (2) Gemini's in the show, look us up as we would be happy to show you around both the Gemini's and the Lagoons!
This year will be eventful, the Debut of a number of New Models! Lagoon Gemini and The Catamaran Company are pulling the stops, making This Show this Year a Banner Year Event!

The New Gemini Legacy 35 Catamarans for Sale! Take 30 years of innovation in catamaran design, 40 years of the finest, most advanced research and development in American yacht manufacturing, passion, customer feedback, craftsmanship, and an entirely new, collaborative way of doing business and the result is stunning absolutely stunning!
The New Lagoon 39 Catamarans for Sale! The Lagoon 39 filiation with the new Lagoon generation is apparent on first sight: vertical, beveled bows, aft centered mast for sailing performance and ease of handling ... a strong character indeed!

The New Lagoon 400 S2 Catamarans for Sale! After seeing over 260 boats built in three years, the Lagoon 400 (launched in 2009) has found a new lease of life through Nauta Design's work on the boat's interior fittings. Suggestions received from owners have enabled Lagoon to produce a boat that is even more welcoming, with a greater level of comfort, and resolutely modern: the result is the Lagoon 400 S2, a nod to its famous predecessors, the Lagoon 410 S2 and 380 S2.
The Lagoon 450 Catamarans for Sale!  Replacing a catamaran that has come to be seen as a benchmark in the Lagoon 440 is no easy task. But the VPLP architects, in partnership with Lagoon and the celebrated Nauta Design studio, have been brilliantly successful in creating the new Lagoon 450.

The New Lagoon 52 Catamarans for Sale! The Lagoon 52, the latest model developed by the world's leading builder of cruising catamarans, marks a whole new era in the design of such boats, as indeed did its predecessor, the famed Lagoon 500. With its diamond-shaped vertical bows, beveled hulls, its as if levitated deckhouse and tall rig, the Lagoon 52 is no ordinary catamaran, but its originality goes a great deal further than just its "outer" appearance, or even its interior layout. This new Lagoon is the result of lengthy discussions between the architects at Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost (VPLP), the Italian Nauta Design agency and the Lagoon design department. These discussions led us to make some important and sometimes radical choices, while remaining.

The Lagoon 560 Catamarans for Sale! By bringing together the internationally-recognized talents of VPLP (naval architects) and the Nauta Design studio to create a luxurious, high-performance deep-water catamaran, Lagoon has once again stolen a march on the opposition in terms of comfort, handling and style.

Select Brokerage Catamarans for Sale! Each year The Catamaran Company brings a Great Selection of Previously Owned Catamarans for Sale to the show. At this printing that list is being developed. We also have a large number of Brokerage Catamarans in the Miami Fort Lauderdale Florida USA area.
