Flying Feather! an Iroquois Catamaran for Sale!

This 1968/2011 Iroquois Sea Craft 30' Catamaran for Sale is located here in Daytona Florida FL USA.  As you will note she has been completely renovated and is ready to go sailing! She is priced to reflect the cost of her renovation of which the seller will not see all that is invested. Her asking price of 69K USD is negotiable Further photos can be found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gLzoGH69Fo&feature=channel&list=UL

The Iroquois Mk I is a Fast Cruising Catamaran for sale described as being very seaworthy and capable of speeds exceeding 18 knots in moderate winds. They are also renowned for being easy to handle; one article at the time described them as being able to come about like a dinghy. This is a vessel that is easy to sail, gives a good performance and is very seaworthy

Flying Feather is the finest example of an Iroquois MK 1 as she underwent a Major renovation from 2009 to 2011 while the vessel was out of the water in a shipyard. Much of the equipment and sails purchased in 2009 thus were never used until launching late last year.

While in the yard repair included but were not limited to: Removed balsa core foredeck, cockpit, sections of cabin roof replaced with Corecell, bi-axial and vinyl-ester resin. All original gel coat ground down to original mat for inspection. All legacy repairs and stress areas re-glasses and reinforced. Special attention applied to center board reinforcing, beam tabs and deck joints. Gel coat re-applied, ground and polished. No slip areas contoured around fittings and hatches for appearance. All deck hardware and hatch hardware 316 S/S New Centerboard from ½ aluminum plate, Delrin bearing assemblies, and S/S pivot pins, Epoxy barrier and aluminum bottom paint 2012. Custom zincs replaceable underwater, Centerboards fabricated to be removable from deck above. Mast height approx.. 40ft above water. Mast tabernacle allows mast to pivot forward. Since launching and behind the owners home, further upgrades and improvements have been accomplished on an going basis.

AUGUST 1ST 2012 an in the water survey was accomplished by Accurate Marine Surveys Inc. to verify the workmanship and general condition of this vessel. This survey is available to prospective buyers. Though the owner will never receive the value back for the extent of the re-fit, the seller is pragmatic and is open to offers. This is a must see to appreciate Catamaran for those looking an affordable fast cruising Cat.
